Get a Hat for Your Guy!

The Holidays are upon us, and I'm sure you're faced with the dilemma of what to get for the guy in your life. Be it brother, husband, dad, boyfriend, etc... it can be sometimes hard to choose something that he will love. "What do you want for Christmas?", you ask him. If the best response you get is "I don't know" or "You don't need to get me anything", turn to Bonnet for the perfect gift. We've got a hat for every type of guy. What's one hat that looks great on almost any guy? The fedora. With different brim sizes, crown shapes, and fabric choices - you're sure to find the one that will suit him. Worried about sizing? Instead of trying to measure his head while he's sleeping - we have hat tape to customize the fit, or try bringing in a hat he already owns for comparison. Here's a few examples to get some ideas for your guy:

Wool stingy brim, great for a round face:

Broner Wool Fedora $38 sold out, available in Grey, Black, and Brown

A shorter crown for the oval face:

Joey Pal Cotton Fedora $39, available in  Black and Olive

A modern stingy brim, for a square or heart-shaped face:

Cotton Striped Fedora $36 sold out, also available in Brown check pattern

A wider brim, for those tall guys:

New York Hat Co. Fedora $52 sold out, available in Brown and Grey

Don't forget to check out our caps and ivys for guys too! See you soon!

Bonnet in American Way Magazine!

Have you done any traveling in the past few weeks? Well, if you flew on American Airlines, you may have seen a snippet about our very own Bonnet in their magazine, American Way. Bonnet was listed as one of the hat shops to visit in the US alongside a great photo of a couple of Elizabeth Rohloff's designs sitting pretty in our shop. Here's what American Way had to say about the growing popularity of such a great accessory:

"Fashion’s crowning accessory is back, and we’re not talking about baseball hats. Pinstripe caps, flattop porkpies, and feathered cocktail numbers make wonderful souvenirs and symbolize confidence, says San Francisco milliner Jasmin Zorlu. Run for cover at the following shops...

...Bonnet, Portland, Oregon
The boutique’s stellar collection includes unisex styles and original works by local designers, such as cloches by ElizaBeth Rohloff and supersoft Faith caps. 412 Northwest Eleventh, www.bonnetboutique.com"

If you haven't visited The Neat Sheet yet, you're missing out on Portland's best resource for deals, events, and trends around the city. If you happened to catch KOIN news yesterday, you would've heard about the Neat Sheet and a certain hat shop! Bonnet was also featured this week on The Neat Sheet's blog, here's what they had to say about the hat trend:

"Vintage-look hats: Spring’s popular straw fedora now translates to felt as the biggest hat trend for fall, followed closely by retro ’20s cloche styles, newsboy caps and big, floppy bohemian toppers. We have options galore this season when it comes to hat trends (basically, if your head is covered you’re in style.)"
