Bonnet in the Oregonian!

"Patricia Zanger and her staff at Bonnet in the Pearl District like to guide customers to hats that are both stylish and flattering."

If you happened to check out the Oregonian this past Thursday, I hope you got the chance to read the article on stylish hats for spring. Bonnet was featured in the article, which gave our shop a great review for those who haven't stopped into the shop yet. Here is a snippit of the article...

"At Bonnet, which had its grand opening last December, the focus is "trendy urban" everyday hats.

"In this economy, a lot of people are buying a cute hat instead of a cute coat to punch up what they're wearing," says owner Patricia Zanger.

Here are some styles to look for at Bonnet: a straw fedora (the more wear it gets, the better it looks, Zanger says), casquette (like a baseball cap with a soft, full crown), linen jockey hat, shiny rain hat, cotton bucket hat, enormous recycled paper straw sunhat, and sequined beret (daytime sparkle is a mini-trend).

Zanger likes lavender and fuschia this spring, which she says are flattering on almost everyone.

Most hats here cost $28 to $34. There are several makers, including Christy's Crown Series of Los Angeles. Many hats are unisex, and men's and women's are mixed together.

The staff will let you know what suits you.

"I don't want anybody to leave in a hat that doesn't look good on them, so we're really honest with people," says Zanger."

Allure says hats are in!

"Name your hair complaint (frizz, roots, limpness), and you can hide it in style. Springs hottest accessories have major payoffs for your hair."

...As said in April's issue of Allure magazine. Not only are hats the answer to that bad hair day, they are no doubt one of the easiest and most fashionable accessories to add to any outfit. Put on a hat, and you're instantly put together. And same thing goes for guys, too. Stop in to Bonnet and check out the latest selection of "this Spring's hottest accessories"! And pick up this month's Allure to see the entire article!

Explore the Pearl and find...Hats!

We are so excited to be featured in the Oregonian's special publication, Explore the Pearl! And what's more exciting is this darling picture of our dear Patricia surrounded by oodles of amazing hats! Proudly displayed on the front page of their "New in the Pearl" section, this is what they have to say about us:

"Nothing caps a great outfit like the perfect chapeau, and no one offers a cooler selection of those than Bonnet.

Owner Patricia Zanger says her new Pearl shop is a perfect fit in a sun-challenged city filled with urban dwellers interested in style and function. Hats at Bonnet are casual and dressy, trendy and traditional, and there are plenty of styles for men and women.

Check out the selection of newsboys, cloches, and fedoras. Most are priced under $50, and you'll find scarves, gloves, and umbrellas, too. And here's the topper: there's no need to put a lid on your hat collection, because Zanger is always on the lookout for new styles.

Open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
